Keeping secrets...

Have you ever bought a gift for someone and gone almost stir crazy trying to NOT tell them about it?!
That's how I feel at the moment.
My nana taught me this little rhyme when I was a young one, to help me keep special secrets...

"I have a secret
I can't tell
I can keep it
very well."

I am so glad she drummed that in to me because I am sitting on a secret that I am bursting to tell, but cannot...at least not yet.

But here's a few hints...

soon....very soon...

*****

Yesterday I finally framed my new Shabby Roses Stitchery...

....and Blossom took some lovely new photos for the pattern cover with her extra marvellous camera!

When she moves to the UK in April she'll be taking that wonderful photo snapper with her, so Mr E will have to buy me one of my own. ;-)

****

Thanks for all the support and prayers during our move. We're all settled in now, and starting to do some normal things again.
Early this morning Mr E and I went for a ride down to The Strand and had breakfast by the ocean, alone.

As much as I love my kids, I love having one on one time with the love of my life, too. The last month has been very stressful, and knowing that we can start doing fun things again - the kind of things that allow you to let go of the concerns of the day - is very spirit and soul reviving.
Being on the back of the motorbike behind Mr E is the most refreshing activity in the world for me.
What are the things that refresh you when you are worn out??
I'd love to hear about them.

Have an extra restful weekend, my friends.

hurry up and share the secret!! we want to know what it is too.
Pondering on what refreshes me when worn out, not so sure but I can lose myself in my embroidery books and magazines full of wonderful ideas and of course visiting people`s blogs is so uplifting and inspiring as you can no doubt gather I am rather sedentary, allthough could enjoy a ride on the back of a motor bike weather permitting, not been on one for years and years.

Looks like it might be printed on the fabric which would be wonderful as I hate tracing out designs. I hope 2013 brings you peace, tranquility and stability too.

Looks like someone has published a pattern booklet.....what a wonderful place to live....and you're right: I always said, one needs to nurture ones marriage because the kiddies will grow up, leave home and have lives of their own....having special time with ones honey can't be beat...

Hi, Jenny!

Can't wait to find out just what the secret is...

You have a secret
I can tell
It's hard to keep it very well.

My favorite stress reliever is also behind my sweetie on the Harley Davidson bike. Unfortunately, it's New Hampshire and winter so it will have to keep until summer comes again.

Love, love, love this website!!

The shabby roses stitchery looks fabulous in the frame Jenny. A dear friend of ours who is no longer with us used to tell our girls when they were younger "loose lips sink ships", I use that saying quite a bit :-) and every time I do I think of our dear friend James...
