It's been four months since my "Sweet Tweet" quilt was featured in Australian Homespun magazine and now the pattern is ready and waiting in my shop for those who were unable to find the magazine but would love to stitch their own version of "Sweet Tweet"!
At 36 inches square the quilt is perfect for a baby or toddler, but is equally delightful hung on a wall or over your knees as a lap quilt...
It actually sews up rather fast as the blocks are mainly applique with a little backstitch, running stitch and a few cross-stitches...
...and the patchwork sections are only squares with a few straight borders! Not difficult at all. I like simple, don't you?
It's a very happy quilt and sure to put a smile on the face of whoever you make it for - or maybe it will be yours and your own heart will be overflowing with warm and fuzzies?
The fabrics I used were from various Lecien "Flower Sugar" prints and they definitely added to the sweetness, but mostly I think the birds are the star of this quilt, don't you?
You can get your pdf copy of the "Sweet Tweet" pattern HERE in my shop today!
happy stitching,

Lovely Jenny. Loved your pattern and 'get to know you' story in the latest Homespun. Congratulations and keep up the lovely work. Take care :)
This is so pretty and sweet...love how the Lecien fabrics are just perfect for the birdies!
I do believe this is my most favorite project of your ever.
Beautiful! Love all the close ups....
I haven't commented in awhile, but I'm still here admiring all your beautiful work, and this is so beautiful. I love the colors and the birds happen to be one of my favorites of all your work.
Blessings,
Vernagrace
It looks so pretty in your colors ... I might have to try Jenny colors for this one! Thanks for another great design and making it available to those who can't get the magazine.
Love this! I especially adore the quilting in the bird blocks. Was it done by hand or machine?
Very cute. Great fabric choices.
Debbie, it was machine quilted by a local lady. She did exactly as I asked and even exceeded my expectations. :-)
I too love your birds! This is absolutely gorgeous! The stitches are perfect! I love that your work is so uplifting and beaming with love! Opening your emails are blessing to me. Thank you!
May God continue to bless you and your family.
