On Saturday you saw the fabric and pattern I intended using to sew a pretty Rosebud block...
Well, that sweet little 6 inch block turned out exactly as I'd hoped!
I decided to add a border before finishing it as a special project for the sewing room.
A square of cotton wadding fused behind, then a bit of hand quilting...
...and all I needed to do was sew a backing square behind, fill with stuffing, and secure one of my original 1960's buttons in the middle to finish the block as a pincushion.
With my head cold not improving but increasing in severity, this little afternoon project was a calm distraction.
Four litres of ginger beer with chili helped, too.
The Rosebud block pattern can be found HERE on Rose Johnston's blog.
What would you make from it?
