A guest spot, and what's on my sewing table...

Have you been to Madam Samm's "Sew We Quilt!" blog yet?
She has monthly themed tutorials throughout the year and this month is her Kitchen theme! Now you know how I love kitchen things?! (Remember, Issue 9 of my Elefantz HOME magazine was totally kitchen-themed!)
Madam Samm invited me to be a part of her April theme and share a tea-towel tutorial, and I was thrilled to say YES.
On April 11th you can visit "Sew We Quilt" to see my tutorial for this apple appliqued tea towel...
Visit "Sew We Quilt" HERE, and don't forget to check out all the wonderfully different tutorials shared by other designers!

The next Issue of Elefantz HOME magazine will have a stitchery theme, focusing on designs that can be used in many ways, and on a variety of projects for different occasions. For the first time I am sharing the full Shabby Roses alphabet...
A few years back I shared the 'M' as an elegantly framed Mother's Day gift...

These dainty initials can be used in so many ways. I even stitched some as scissor keeps for friend's gifts...
So apart from the main project using the Shabby Roses Alphabet in Issue 11, you'll find other ideas for using the individual initials as well.

After a year, I finally took a few days out to finish the last of the "Things We Love" blocks from the free 2011 BOM I shared as part of the five Gum Tree Designers. We all designed two blocks each, and now this beautiful legacy of my lovely friends is almost completed...
I stitched the final two blocks (one of Joy's, and one of Vicki's) this week...
Next week, if I have a free day, I'll sandwich it and quilt it. \o/
~~~~~
I have to show you what my two grandsons made me for Easter...
And let me introduce Jimmy Bling...
...and Nellie Nerd!
I see a new generation of creative genes in my boys. ;-)
It's Mr E's last day of his holiday break so we're off for a ride up the mountain to the Heritage Tea Rooms. The wind is cooler than it has been, so it should be lovely sitting under the trees sipping fresh coffee and watching nature. Think I'll take my sketch book...
Have a wonderful day!!
Hugs
Jenny
Hallo Jenny,
Thanks for the lovely design! It gives me a great idea for the table cloth for the garden table! Yesterday I bought the checkered red and white fabric and I was still thinking how to make it special, now I know!! Greetings
