Where footsteps (and a Jeep) take you...

We went away!
Three days on the road, together - away from the everyday, the humdrum, the rattle and hum of work, routines and commitments.

Free.
Just us, our cameras, the Jeep and a lot of 70's and 80's Australian music - which was perfect for this mostly off road trek through our beloved Aussie rainforest.

I'll share photos later this week, but here's a taste of where my feet have been the last three wonderful days with Mr E by my side.

We drove the muddy, rutted tracks of the Misty Mountains in the rain...

...and coursed many a river and creek.

We trod carefully (and swiftly) along the banks of mangroves where crocodiles hide...

...before retreating to the beautiful beaches of the Daintree.

It was magic.

Now we need sleep, and our own bed...and possibly chocolate.
And a plan for the next trip...

hugs

I'm SO glad you got away! I look forward to more pictures and tales of your trip, where you stayed and what you did. As you have time, of course! Welcome home!

Hello dear Jenny ... I was gardening yesterday & thinking of you & realised you hadnt posted for a few days so the thought occurred to me that I hoped you had managed to get away. Your 3 days sound wonderful & no doubt just what you both needed. That last photo of you is just lovely Jenny. Look forward to seeing your photos when you catch your breath.

So good that you went a way fro a bit of relaxation and together time. That's the trouble with travelling, you start planning the next trip LOL. Remember to take some "me" time even when you have a busy day at home.

Sometimes a short get-away is far more beneficial than a long vacation. You look like you are truly unwinding. Yes, it is always comforting to be Home Sweet Home.
