10 hours....

Today was a whirlwind of last minute odd jobs, packing, goodbyes, and general running around. Bob-the-dog is all shampooed and looking lovely, the house inspection was 'perfect', and everything is packed ready to go in the car.

Just 10 hours and we'll be on our way! \o/\o/\o/ Feel free to dance a jig with me!! I'm so excited!

We took photos for you but I've gone and packed my cord thingy that plugs into the laptop...sorry. I have no idea what bag it's in now, and to be honest I'm so plumb tuckered out that I can't be bothered expending any more energy. I know you understand.

A lovely friend, Barb, had us over for dinner tonight and boy, did she spoil us! Her home is like a small sanctuary, hidden away from the hubbub of everyday living, and it was incredibly calming to sit with her and hubby enjoying a beautiful meal, apple cider, fresh coffee, stimulating conversation, and soothing music in the background. We took my St Therese rose bush over to her to plant in her front garden, and that made me so happy. I love that rose bush, it has been a real joy to me each time a new bud appeared and blessed me over many days blooming to a red brilliance that simply took my breath away. Barb's Confirmation name was Therese and she was so excited to receive it from me.

Girls, you have been incredible to stay with me and count down the days to our departure - and here it is, just 9 hours and I'll wake to the start of our journey...10 hours and we'll be leaving the city limits for the wide open spaces between here and our children, every moment another step closer to that longed for reunion.

Thank you for the arms of friendship opened wide, and I hope you'll all be here when I come back online around July 16th. I am already missing your chirpy voices and smiling emails!

Take care my friends, and may God hold you safely in His heart and bless your socks off!

Back soon...

Hugs
Jenny

So glad you were able to dine with a good friend one last time. How sweet of you to give her your rosebush.
I will be praying for you every day and night. Last night, we went to dinner at a place called Outback Steakhouse, they had a huge map of Australia and I was showing the boys where you were traveling from and to. Your journey takes my breath away in its scope.
Be safe dear Jenny. The Lord will be with you in the wilderness, as He was with Israel. I'm already bouncing in my seat with anticipation of your next post, when you're all settled in and reunited with the kids. Love ya girl!

God be with you until we meet again. Before our family travels we always have a family prayer in the car before we turn on the ignition and then when we get to our destination we go inside and knee in a family prayer. You travel may be "bumpy" and have it's share of challenges, yet a sense of peace stays with you and you know all will be well. I wish you peace on your journey and that you will arrive home safely.

Hugs until you are settled.
