New look, new designs, sour dough, and *that* shop again!

You may think I've been unusually quiet, but I've had so much going on 'behind the scenes' over the last week...my feet and fingers have barely had a rest, but it will all be revealed in about 23 hours!!! Are you excited?
I took an hour off with Blossom on Friday afternoon to have our regular mother/daughter coffee & cake time, and also to visit *that* shop again. We never tire of it and always find something new. This time Blossom bought a gorgeous gift for her bestest friend, Frances' 16th birthday, and I bought this scrumptious shabby chic memo board. The two little magnets on the bottom are actually ceramic tiles! Isn't it beautiful!? I have it hanging above my desk but as yet I have not written anything on it - I'm looking for a pretty pale green whiteboard marker instead of the dark purple one that came with the board.

Finally, I got some time yesterday to crack open the paper on my Birdie fat quarter bundle that arrived last week (I told you I'd been busy), and I laid it all out on my cutting table to gush over!

Blossom hovered, oohing and aahing over them.
I didn't realise, but included in the pack were 2 half yards of large Birdie print! Hmmm...I may consider sharing one? You'd best stay tuned for more news about that in the days ahead. :-)

Yesterday I also took a few hours out of the 'secret' schedule to work on a new set of designs...you'll notice more in my new blog header. I'm very excited about these - they make me smile the whole time I'm stitching!

And lastly, back to my kitchen....nothing sweet to share today, though!
I love making my own sour dough bread, but since we moved here I haven't gotten around to growing a new batch of 'mother' - until now. Another week and I'll have some of the yummiest bread baked and ready to share. Strawberries are very cheap here at the moment so once the 'secret' is out I'll make some fresh jam to have on the bread.
If I invited you for a pot of tea, Sour Dough Bread and Strawberry Jam would you come?

Okay, enough chit-chat. There are secret things yet to be attended to.....

Be sure and come back tomorrow.
Hugs
Jenny

I can't wait to come over and have tea with sour dough bread with you. I made strawberry jam 2 weeks ago and it came out really yummy. You really have been busy. Every time I look, you've changed the heading on your blog. Love the memo board.

I LOVE sourdough bread but it surely doesn't like me! Just be forewarned that if you have a history of migraines, the fermentation of sourdough can cause them...ask me how I know! sigh

Hey there busy girl - love the new look - glad you got some time off to spend with Blossom and get some goodies! The memo board is darling. Love the fabric. The designs look darling - but how could they be otherwise, coming from you? I'd dearly love to come to tea. Can't wait for the secret to be revealed!

I can smell sourdough bread baking in my kitchen when my boys were small. Every Friday after school...hmmm...nice trip down memory lane. Haven't made it in years though. Would you share both your starter and your bread recipe.
I am the end product of way too many moves and some things just escape me. Love the fabrics and your tease of birdie things to come, but on some of the other blogs it's more a hint of owls...and that scares me.

Most definitely I would come. Sourdough bread is a real favorite of mine with plenty of butter and jam on it. I used to make bread when the kids were younger. I think I might have to get a starter going again.
