Taking time out, and enjoying new things...

The last week has seen me avoiding the computer as much as possible. It's only a matter of days now until the new school year begins and that will mean our relaxed days will come to an end...and that made me want to soak in every moment I could with Mr Elefantz and Blossom.
Mr Elefantz has been working on his bike, repairing things around the house, and going for long cross-country sunset walks with me each evening. Blossom has been working on a secret project (and it's gorgeous!) while we spend our afternoons watching DVDs of Miss Marple, Rosemary & Thyme, and a bit of tennis.
For myself, I have played around with a couple of new things. I'll show you more tomorrow, but I thought I'd let you have a sneak peek at a baby quilt I've just designed and sewn over the last few days...

It's for Blossom's Hope Chest.
~~~~~
How are you going with the Tea Towel Challenge for January? I  have something cute to make tomorrow with a tea towel, but I'll wait till then to tell you what it is.
Hugs
Jenny
I`m glad you had a wonderful school break with your husband and daughter. I always loved the time our school vacation gave me with my son.
You baby quilt is lovely. I don`t get a chance to read your blog often. My visits here are a relaxing time of the day.
Jenny! Ooooohh!! Your sneaky peek of your new baby quilt looks FABULOUS! Can't wait to see it revealed. And I've decided you and I must have similar taste in some of our DVD watching - I don't have Miss Marple or Rosemary & Thyme on DVD (though the second is on the wish list!) but I enjoy them both and I tend to stitch in front of Midsomer Murders DVD's. Gotta love a good whodunnit while you stitch! :0) Enjoy the rest of your pre-school-goes-back time. Bear Hugs! KRIS
I love the Snail Trails quilt. I too have made 2 baby quilts for my son, 1 for a girl, 1 for a boy. My grandmother did the same for me, back in 1981. I wouldn't trade them in the world for anything!! Enjoy the time with hubby and Blossom. They go so fast!!
Hugs!!
What a cute little snail. Lucky Blossom. I knew there must have been a very good reason why you have been absent from the blog. Enjoy!
Loving the wee baby quilt - you're keen making it for Blossoms Hope Chest, my DD will laugh at me and tell me "not to go there".
