An overcast day....

My promised giveaway post will be a day late.
Monday was a very emotional day for me, and I needed extra time to work through my feelings after seeing off my beloved Mr E for a 9 day separation. I drove the 130 klms to Townsville with him following on the bike. In a supermarket carpark on the south side of town we said our goodbyes before he rode south for the remaining 600 klms journey alone.
I drove the 90 minute trip home under an overcast sky, truly reflecting my own emotions. I shed tears, I prayed.
My sweet Lord looked down on me and opened little pockets of heaven to shine his comforting light as I made my way up the mountain range and towards home.
I took this photo because I wanted you to know that God is in all things. The sorrow and the joy. I drew immense comfort from His opening of the sky and that Light which said to me, "I am bigger than your sorrow. I am even now your comfort and strength. All will be well."
Mr E called last night and we talked for ages as he walked around his room at the mine camp and unpacked. He described everything to me, and we felt more at peace listening to each other. This morning he woke me with a text message to start my day with joy. I am blessed.
Hugs
Jenny

My husband has worked away from home in the past and I could never get used to it. It was bad enough having to say goodbye myself but broke my heart everytime I heard him explaining to our sons that he wouldnt be there in the morning when they woke up.
Hold onto your strength. The saying is true; distance makes the heart grow fonder :) big hugs

"To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did" When God takes something from your grasp. He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence. "The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you."

Will you have to make him some decorations for his room.. you know some that are manly so he doesn't get too much of a hard time from the guys?? Something that says home.. and still is very manly and maybe motorcycle worthy..LOL.

It will get easier Jenny I am sure but the really nice thing is knowing that your love for Mr E will always keep its depth and no matter how far he is away from you or for how long you will always miss his company because he is YOUR very special man. Keep strong knowing how much he loves you also.

I'm glad Mr E has arrived safely and settled into his accommodation. Modern technology is great when it comes to still being in close touch for those days he is away. I'm sure you are planning something nice for when he gets home for his long weekend and will keep rather busy in the meantime. Hugs.

Jenny: I know how hard these separations can be, but remember after a day you may just enjoy the freedom. It will make the return reunion all that much more sweet. Absence makes the heart grow fonder you know!!

I truly believe you will be fine. Sew up a storm!!!

Hang in there.
