Natural rhythms begin...

It's Thursday morning and we're two sleeps into life in Townsville and the new house. God blessed us on moving day, as there was rain all around us during the almost four hours of loading the removalist van, and 90 minutes of unloading at the Townsville house later that day, but it never fell.
During the drive between Charters Towers and Townsville we had rain, but not a drop fell from the sky whilst furniture and boxes were loaded and unloaded.
Thank you Lord!
Mr E has already begun his new teaching position, so his nights have been busy carting boxes into the house for me to unpack. On Tuesday night after the moving van left we did what we could for a few hours, then showered, changed, and headed off on the bike to the monthly Ulysses branch meeting before a meal at a wonderful pizza restaurant that served the best gluten free pizza bases!
Wednesday morning we woke to no food in the house so I sent Mr E off to work with advice to grab something on the way, whilst I wrote a shopping list and headed off to the huge local supermarket.
By the time he came home from work I had filled the pantry, fridge, and freezer, and our first meal together in the new home was being prepared...
A juicy steak was added, and our simple meal was complete.
This morning (Thursday) I've packed his lunch for work, and so, the natural rhythm of the working week has begun.
Sophie has settled beautifully....
Bob-the-dog is not enjoying the humidity and wouldn't smile for a photo. Blossom will be moving home with us in another week and as she is his real owner I think there will be much tail-wagging ahead for him. I'm so glad we had him clipped before we moved.
Today, with all the boxes unpacked, I'll begin finding permanent homes for everything, and I may just grab an hour after lunch to relax with a wee bit of stitching.
Have a wonderful day in your world too!
Hugs
Jenny

So glad the move went smoothly for you! Everybody thinks I'm mad but I really enjoy moving house, the packing and unpacking keeps me acquainted with all my treasures and a new house/town is a new adventure. I love it! Hope you get a chance for many breaks while unpacking, best wishes from The Garden :)

Imagine the mister arriving back to a full fridge & a meal on the table. That must have felt so reassuring after a "first day".
And Blossom joining you! Sounds great!
You are my "moving heroine"!

Hi Jenny,
Wow, you are steady as a rock...so calm (giggle) in your picking up and moving about and making a home wherever you do make home! I really admire that. God bless you in your new home. Blossom coming along - bonus, eh! I really like you getting the food and stuff; oh and making a meal when you darling hubs returned. Nice touch. The last home you had, had a great foilage; how about this one? Will you have a garden? Anyhoo, wishing you a good spell to sit and stitch!

So good the rain stayed away while doing all the loading and unloading.
Has not taken long for you all to settle.
I am sure Bob will be happier when Blossom arrives.
Happy stitching.

So glad the move went well for you and that the rain didn't damage anything. We could actually do with some down here in Victoria so just send it our way LOL. I have also got to thank you for a link to the down to earth blog via the stitcheries... I have been reading it and making soap! I'm sure hubby thinks I'm insane but he just showed interest and kept the cat and dog out from under my feet LOL

I'm glad everything went so smoothly. You can tell you are an old hand at this. I'd still be in total chaos. Now comes the fun bit of turning it into a home, but you've certainly started that in the kitchen already.

Praise God for no rain and a safe and easy-ish move. I know that you will be so glad when everything finds it's home.

Your fur babies are adorable! Whatever would we do without them?

Hi Jenny, Just wondering how you are going settling into your new home. Is it anywhere near Kelso? That's where my youngest daughter lives. Yes it is very hot and humid there. You will need the air con running. So pleased it didn't rain during your move. All the best.

I am so glad to hear the rain stayed away while unloading and loading. I am glad you are safe and sound in your new home and so glad your hubby is not in that dangerous mining job. I know someone has to do mining and I really respect miners putting their lives on the line to feed their families.

Hi Jenny, I am pleased your move went well and that you are settling into your new home, I find moving a complete nightmare, we have our house up for sale as we wish to downsize and I dread having to sort our all the stuff we have collected over the years.
