Yay! Sewing day...

It was sewing day.
I missed the last one so it's been a month since I had my sides split with laughter by these girls!
Our little group has temporarily grown with lovely Barb dropping by during her annual holiday break to add her own humour to our already kooky kind...

The gang got together at my house this time, but Wendy spoiled us all by supplying her home-made cannoli for morning tea!

But really, Wendy-girl - only one each???

They were divine. Really, truly, divine. Sigh.

Despite all our laughter we all managed to get a fair bit of hand stitching done today - something we rarely achieve!

Wendy was stitching cute alphabet hexies from Fee's new BOM (see it here)...

Heather was playing pretty with one of my designs, "Flourish"...

Michelle was bringing these funky farmyard critters to life for a future quilt...

...and Barb's gorgeous lime and pink stitchery wasn't to be missed!

And me? I finished a row of roses for a new design...

Someone else joined us at lunchtime. Can you guess who???

This mystery gal is the owner of a certain four-legged canine affectionately known as Bob-the-dog, who spent most of the day under the table checking out my visitors feet. I think Miss Owner needs to teach him some visitor protocols...

A relaxed day.
Genuine friends.
Good food.
Laughter.
Love.

You can't ask for much more.

hugs,
jenny

Oh Jenny, what a fun day!!! Wonderful stitcheries, every one of them and I gotta tell ya that the colors in your new design are glorious. I love them and can't wait to see the finished piece. So, one question...why is Blossom hiding behind her magazine? She is so, so beautiful, sad to see she was camera shy that morning. Keeping you all in my prayers and sending big, big hugs across the pond to you...

I'm trying to remember if Bob belongs to Blossom! What a wonderful day of stitching. I loved all the designs, and especially your yellow roses! Yellow roses are wonderful! I have one bush in my yard, and it's, yep, yellow! But I bought it for the heavenly scent, not the color, really. I'm just glad it was yellow. =)

Love the new design you are working on. I think I gained 5 lbs looking at that delicious canoli. Everyone's projects look fabulous. I hand stitched today too. Working on the verse you gave us last week. Gonna grace a friends Sunday school bag I intend to make her. When I get it done.
