Meet "LIttle Miss Lollilegs"...

My daughter Aisha arrives here in just five more sleeps and she's bringing my precious 14 month old granddaughter Frankie Juliette to meet me for the very first time.
They will both be smothered with hugs and kisses by Blossom and myself as soon as they alight from the plane, so I hope little Frankie can handle the love overload. ;-)

As we live a long, long distance from each other I wanted to make Frankie a present that will continue to give hugs when she returns home.
Back in 2008 I had made two dolls for Blossom from magazine patterns. She was 14 at the time so these weren't play dolls, but made for decoration. She loved them and has them on display in her own home now. However, having successfully made them gave me the confidence to try designing one of my own this time, so on Sunday I pulled out my sketch pad and started penciling ideas for a doll which could be easily carried, dragged, and held by a one-year-old.

And that's how Little Miss Lollilegs came to be.

She's got lovely long legs to dangle her by, solid but slim arms which can easily be held by tiny toddler hands, a pretty spotted scarf with daisies instead of troublesome hair, clothes that have been secured so they won't fall off, and the best thing of all - she's always smiling...

Oh, and did I mention that Little Miss Lollilegs loves daisies?

Ah, the excitement of it all!

Have a wonderful day,

Awww - I love Miss Lollilegs - get a photo of her and Frankie together, then when Frankie goes back home your daughter should take photos monthly; then you will see how much she is growing. 14 months - What a long time to wait before you meet her. I was lucky to hold mine after 30 minutes - she's 23 years old now!!

Little Miss Lollilegs is just beautiful. I can think of quite a few grown up women who would LoVe to own a Miss Lollilegs (one in particular named Julie !!!) just to sit on a shelf & make her smile all day long. I am sure your grandaughter is going to adore her Jenny. Hopefully it wont be too long before we see some elephantz dolly patterns released :-)

Miss Lollilegs makes me smile! You have such wonderful gifts inside of you, Jenny.
I was just speaking with a young woman, a mom now herself, who still cherished the doll her Grandmother made for her when she was only 3. I'm sure Frankie will cherish her dolly too. Have a wonderful visit!

Miss Lollilegs is adorable. It's so wonderful to have a prayer answered. I will keep praying for further reconciliations. Miss Lollilegs is indeed perfect for a one year old. I expect she will become a "best friend." Eric has a 4 month old daughter that I have only seen 3 times. He has only been able to see her 4 times. It has been very hard on us. Her mother is not very sharing. I will be continuing with my Jenny prayers

This is so cute! I love all the detail in the dress. You know, the first thing I thought of was that she looks like a wooden spoon! You should make her a little apron too, cuz she just might get into the kitchen!
