As you know my beloved country is still battling fires across four states which began back in September and are still raging and in some areas expected to get worse as weather conditions escalate.

As you know my beloved country is still battling fires across four states which began back in September and are still raging and in some areas expected to get worse as weather conditions escalate.
I am safe here in the tropics of North Queensland. But those who live in the southern states have much to contend with and for so many each day is a 'wait and see' scenario that keeps them anxious and ready to run.
Fundraisers have been set up everywhere within Australia and I cannot tell you how blown away I am by the support from other countries as well. For truly, we are all God's children and to stand together and offer what we can to make one small drop of difference will add up to a flood of love, care, prayers and financial support for those who have nothing left.
I've listed my original Shabby Old Roses wall quilt for sale in my Etsy Shop this morning with all proceeds going to the Australian Red Cross who are on the ground, working tirelessly to provide for those in need.
I will post worldwide so if you love this quilt and want to donate generously to the Red Cross's disaster appeal for Australian bushfire victims please consider purchasing this work of my hands.
(I'll stitch a label to the back to authenticate it's an original handmade Jenny of Elefantz quilt made in 2019)
Please continue to pray for rain, for safety of lives and preservation of homes and livestock, for an end to the fires, for every need to be met, for emotional and physical healing.
Matthew 25:40
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Bless you heaps,

Hi Jenny,
A very kind and generous thing to do!
hugs,
Joanne
Praying for you all. Its very easy for us here in the UK to send a donation to the Australian Red Cross or Salvation Army, even if we are unable to buy your quilt.
Lucky Carol - I love that quilt! Such a generous donation and worthy cause. Just so sad for everyone in Australia. It is amazing how many people are donating but so much has been lost that can not be replaced. xx
Quilters all around the world are answering the call to make the little bags for the kangaroos, koalas, wombats, bats and any other critter who needs the help. We are also making QAYG blocks to send, quilt tops, finished quilts, buying/donating items for an auction on Instagram where the money will go to groups in Australia caring for the people and animals so devastated by the fires. I know at least one plane load of firefighters arrived from the USA. I just pray that the whole area gets a gentle, soaking rain to put out the fires, relieve the drought but not so much as there are floods. I wish I had millions of dollars so I could help more!! Thank you for putting one of your beautiful quilts up for sale.
Beautiful quilt that someone will purchase and enjoy this Jenny Original Creation.....What a wonderful cause too sell your quilt for Jenny
Didn't see your quilt for sale until too late! So kind of you and what a special quilt! Will try to be quicker next time. Blessings.
Carol in California is lucky indeed to receive such a special piece of your work Jenny. How kind of you to donate this to such a worthy cause. I have been making Kangaroo/joey pouches with a friend. It just breaks my heart when I see the devastation. Thank you for this wonderful gesture dear Jenny. Was it this time last year you were experiencing the dreadful flooding?
Congratulations to Carol Shaw - a Jenny original, how lovely, and for such a good cause!!!!!
How wonderful of you to do this, and how fortunate Carol was able to buy it. I've just been thinking about what to do. I did donate batting money to one of the people in Victoria who is making QAYG blocks, but I was astonished at how much you pay there, even in Spotlight! I do not think I'd be making quilts for my beds if I lived in Australia. I'd be lucky to make small things for my walls! I am still praying daily for your country, and I'm so grateful that after last year's floods, you don't personally have to deal with the fires this year. Now how about your daughter and grandchildren who don't live near you? Are they safe?
I was sent this prayer yesterday and I wanted to share it with you.
Lord, May your word be a lamp that lights our way.
May your love be a compass that gives us direction.
May your truth be a signpost bringing clarity\May your peace be like a measure that guides our decisions.
May your hope be a flag that declares we walk with you.
May your words be in our mind,
Your love guide our feet,
Your truth be a sign,
Your peace be a measure,
Your hope be a flag,
As we walk close to you at this time.
I pray for those in the path of the fires. Have a lovely week--Julia
Qué pena que esté ardiendo un país tanto tiempo y no puedan acabar con ese desastre. Muy generoso tu gesto. Tus trabajos son un lujo. Bss
