In my cocoon...

Blossom wanted to write a blog post the other day and ask you to pray for me, but I told her no...said 'I'll be fine real soon'. 

It's days later and I'm not real fine yet. I am on day ten of a pretty bad migraine. 

I've been hiding away like this guy who decided to build a cocoon in our garden at the weekend...

I just want to hide and heal in the quiet and the dark, holding tight to Jesus' hand.

Mr E has looked after me like the prince of husbands that he is, and today Blossom will take me to our doctor for some better pain relief. I am blessed with my dear family to care for me.

Until I can function again I will be resting up and being quiet on the blog, but I would truly appreciate your prayers for healing, and wisdom for my doctor (just in case this is something more than a rampant migraine)...

a slow weekend...

Low cloud and suspended yet-to-fall rain tends to trigger my migraines.

Such was the weekend.

When the rain did fall my migraine had gone too far and could not be diverted.

People are always intrigued that I can still function to some extent with a migraine, but when you have had them as your life companion and still had to mother seven babies you simply have no choice but to stay calm and carry on. I admit though, I manage them better these days with my diet, but the weather triggers are sadly out of my league.

So between resting and medication I prepared pretty things to stitch over the week ahead...in case my head intends continuing this game of pain.

I'll take things slow today as my body tends to need a day or two recovery time after a migraine so Princess Sophie is settled nearby in her basket to keep me company, a piece of silverside is simmering in the crockpot (Mr E's second-favourite dinner), and my stitching is prepared...
