Block 3 of BEAUTY...

Most of you guessed that my sneak peek the other day was an owl. Well done!
The final stitches were embroidered on Monday night, so Block 3 of Shabby Roses ~Beauty~ is complete.

...Owlish Dreams...

This block will be in the next issue of Elefantz HOME e-zine, published on July 5th.
The first two blocks are in the last two issues, or available as a single purchase HERE in my shop.

These three are looking gorgeous so far...
There are five feature blocks in all, and some simply pieced patchwork blocks too.

Last night I finished sewing down the binding on the two table runners I made yesterday. I love them!

Making something 'just for fun' can be slightly addictive, so I was naughty and gave myself another day off work today to finally make Kerryanne's gorgeous Pincushion Angel!
I'm about half way through at the moment...
Do you like the pretty Tilda fabrics I'm using?
They have been in my stash for years and I thought they would be perfect for this project...
Another hour later today and I should have the cutest pincushion angel in the world. Pictures to follow tomorrow...
But first, I have some vacuuming, washing, and mopping to do.
Somehow I haven't found the knack of taking a day off household duties, yet.
Bother.

Enjoy your Wednesday,
hugs

  2. Love the new designs and the Angel is so cute! Here it will be very hot and Thunder and Lightning are expected too, so as long as it is warm and dry, I will be in the garden and enjoying every minute, the rest can wait!

  3. I like the pincushion angel you are making, but I bet you will not stick needles in it once it is done, right?
    Have a nice day

  8. I'd do the vacuuming, mopping and washing last. Just in case you run out of energy or time. =) The pincushion is going to be perfect in those fabrics. But the owl is the cutest thing yet!

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
