Shabby Roses Bookmark & Alphabet - a gift for you!

Would you believe we have spent the last few hours in complete darkness!?
The hot water system blew up this afternoon which in turn blew the fuse box. We had to wait hours for the power company to come fix everything, and all this right near dinner time.

As the sun set and the darkness fell I headed off to buy fish and chips for dinner - when I came home my husband had the table set with candles so the four of us ate a very beautiful meal together. With no sign of the power being restored any time soon we went down along the beach for a walk in the black night, the sky resplendent in a cloak of stars. What a special evening we had after all!

When we arrived back home the security light came on and we stepped back into 'normal' life once again. Don't you love those unplanned times when the world switches off and you just enjoy being with the people you love?

So - the computer is back on again and I have put the Shabby Roses bookmark and alphabet into a pdf file for all of you. It's a simple design and project - a wonderful gift for any occasion, but best of all it's quick to make! :-)

Go HERE to download the pattern.
Let me know if you like the Shabby Roses alphabet - I've been doodling with it for weeks now! :-)

Hugs
Jenny

Sometimes an unexpected situation, like the power outage, can unveil a wonderful gift of time with the family... 8-)

Great bookmark and alphabet Jenny! Thank you so much! I will put it in my file for future use for sure... 8-)

Question for you, how do you work out a pdf file right in your post? Most people say it can't be done!

Hi Jenny and thank you for the gorgeous book mark..I know a couple of people who will like one made for them. I think we all need a night without power...specially if it is spent like you spent yours. Wonderful night you had by the sound of it :)

I think those naughty hot water elves have been skylarking again, ours went last Monday, thankfully one of our friends is an electrician and came and fixed it.
Your evening sounded much more lovely though!

Hi Jenny! :-)

What a beautiful evening you had! Time stands still when the power goes out, doesn't it? Very meditative... as it's SO quiet!

Thank you for sharing your alphabet with us - you're so very generous! *Hugs!*
