More sneak peeks, and some gorgeous buttons....

Hubby's birthday was very quiet and laid back, but just 'perfect' for him. This is the cheesecake all finished and decorated, before it was devoured! :-)

Do you subscribe to Australian Homespun magazine? The BOM I recently signed up for is a gorgeous stitchery-based quilt by Robyn Allen-Waters, and in the current issue of Homespun she has a beautiful block featured as one of the projects - it's the first block in another of her stitchery based quilts.
Mentioned in the end notes of the pattern was a free offer to any reader of a ceramic hat button to complete the stitchery. I did as was directed and yesterday my buttons (not one, but 2!) arrived in the mail! I am really looking forward to stitching this block over the end of year school holiday break, and now that I have 2 buttons I may stitch another for a friend. :-)

The reason I will be waiting for a few more months to do that stitchery is the amount of handwork needed to complete all my own new designs! I thought I'd show you a few more sneak peeks of my latest secret project...

...aren't the colours scrummy!!!?
I hoped I'd have it finished next week but then I woke up this morning and sketched another 3 blocks!! This quilt just keeps on growing. ;-)
I promise the wait will be worth it!
~~~~~~
How are you going with all your entries in the 9 giveaways from the Gum Tree Designers? Have you been spreading the word on your blogs?
We all have such wonderful giveaway prizes!! Judith has some gorgeous goodies in her prize pack...
...have you been over to visit her yet?
~~~~~

I'd best be off here and get back to my stitching...the sooner I finish the sooner I can show it all to you!
(unless of course I get some more ideas for more blocks...)

Happy sewing,
Hugs
Jenny

Gee the strawberries and passionfruit look great on the cheese cake! I am just about to have icecream with strawberries and sifted icing sugar. Yum yum yum. Your sneak peeks look interesting. Do I see the word rainbow there? The hat buttons look great too. Is your house airconditioned for the summer?
I am rapt in the Anchor multi coloured stranded cotton threads at the moment. They are not as expensive as the DMC ones.

You are always so busy creating such beautiful designs. Like what I see so far.
I have been visiting the Gum Tree designers. I have tried to visit Vicki's blog, sew useful designs. I use a browser called Google Chrome and it won't let me visit her blog because she has some "malware", bad software on her blog. It is from siggiez.com. Could you please let her know this so she can check her blog for it. Some have told me it is a button that they have added to their blog. Thanks Jenny.

I've been following your blog for months -- amazing to visit Australia any time day or night. Have signed up for the "gum tree blog" -- what a great idea. And will sign up as your follower as well. Don't yet have a blog of my own. It would be great to win something, but the free patterns are a win/win for me. Thanks!!

Hello, I sell my prints through Creativo (www.thinkcreativo.com). They also have a studio in NY and I find their terms to be reasonable. Also, they provide me with global research for print and trend which aids me in my surface designs. If you are interested, contact them and let Alex at Creativo know that Carl recommended you.
