Still sewing...

Blossom has been playing with small things.
Like this spooky door hanger for her new bedroom door...
...and the first of a set of fabric gift tags.
Whilst on my side of the sewing room I gave another stitchery a new home in another wrap for our larger French Press...
The stitchery is one of Cath's raggies, too cute!
I also dug into my UFO box and decided to finish this table runner, using my Oopsie Daisies ULUI applique. The lovely French General fabrics will be perfect in the white interior of the new house. I had a fair bit of leftover French General fabrics so I thought a set of placemats would be a great idea to compliment the table runner. I just have to stitch down the binding and the whole dining table set will be finished!
We've still got a few projects to work on at night while we take a break from packing, but I'm so excited to see how much we have already completed this week. I wonder how productive we'll be once we've settled in our Anne Stree home? Maybe we'll just drink tea on the back verandah and read wonderful old classics for the first week?
Or perhaps we'll watch the old classics instead, while we continue to stitch. :-)
 What do you think?
Hugs
Jenny

I'm amazed that you have time for sewing in the last few days before you move, you must be very organised. I loved Cranford when it was on the television, and I've got those same DVDs too; I'm sure you'll love watching them.

I agree with Amanda. You must be very organised. The amount of sewing you've done this past week alone is more than I could possibly imagine myself doing let alone packing for a move.

I love the Cranford series as well. I think I'd opt for watching those and stitching but sitting on a verandah in lovely warm Queensland sipping tea and reading classics sound positively delightful. Either way, you'll have a beautiful blissful time. How lovely!

Oh, I love your Oopsie Daisies. I made the wheat bag with them on the front for Mum for Mother's Day. They're so deliciously simple and pretty.

Hi Jenny, I figured you must be packing, but I'm not surprised you managed to find time to sew, too! If I was faced with the conundrum of reading classics out on the verandah or watching them, I'd opt for both. At least, when you're watching, you can stitch. But it's nice to take a break and read. You could always 'listen' to a classic story, sit on the verandah, AND stitch. I love audio books! ~karen

Oh Jen I do wish I was as organised as you. I'm afraid if it was me moving I'd be standing in the middle of an almighty mess he he he.
Love the look of those DVDs ... I haven't seen Cranford before, but I love anything with Judi Dench in it so I just bet it would be great :o).
Have fun stitching ....
Big hugs,
Joy :o)

Everything is so adorable. I've seen those fabric gifts tags around but never attempted them.

I would watch Cranford while you stitch. Hope the move goes well and you are soon all settled in the new digs.

I think you and Blossom are wonderfully productive. I would be vegging at night if I was in the process of moving. Good for you guys!

I think it is amazing how much you are getting done. When I was moving, I didn't have any energy left for fun stuff. I love the daisy set. L,A-

Hi, I'm a new fan of your blog. I think it's wonderful that you are making all kinds of things using your embroidery. My mother was a great embroiderer and I discovered many of her finished pieces when she died. I've been making them into small wallhangings and other quick items for her grandchildren. They seem to like them and it is a way for them to remember her.

Glad you were able to get the house. I'd hate to see you pushing a grocery cart up and down the streets with all your possessions piled in it.

You two have created beautiful things this week. And I am sure you will be productive once you are in the new house, because you want to make into a perfect home, am I right?
