Warm food for cool nights...

Is it just me, or do the winter months make you crave sweet, warm desserts too?
A taste-bud alluring photo caught my eye in the June issue of Australian Home Beautiful magazine recently,  so naturally I had to recreate the dish to satisfy my "winter-warming" dessert habit.
These are Stitcky Date Puddings, and they are made in a food processor before being baked as individual treats in muffin pans. It was one of the easiest recipes for Sticky Date Pudding I have ever made (and yes, I have become an expert at trying this recipe - yum, yum, yum doesn't quite express how much I love this dessert).
The sauce was a simple one-pot simmer, and flowed all gooey and sweet around the split mini-puddings...
...and of course what is a pudding without a dollop of thick fresh cream?
Now to admit to something really decadent. I am having this for breakfast today.
Can you blame me? :-)
I wonder what your favourite dessert is? Perhaps you have a few for different seasons?
My first ever Elefantz Newsletter will be sent out in only a few short hours! If you haven't signed up yet, please do.
In celebration I am having a wonderful giveaway, and only those who subscribe to the newsletter can enter.
Just pop your email address below and you can be a part of the fun.
The prize is an original, handmade-by-me, Elefantz design!

Now to finish sewing down the binding on a quilt - after breakfast of course!
Have a wonderfully blessed and yummy day!!

PS: In other parts of the world it is Fathers Day this weekend, so why not make this dessert for your dad? And if you're wondering what gift you can make him, visit Helen at Bustle & Sew as she has a wonderful free Father's Day cushion you can sew quickly!
