Hooked...

I am.
Totally hooked.
On crochet.

As you know, our eldest daughter Kezzie is getting married in just 11 days, so today whilst Mr E had business in Charters Towers I hitched a ride along with him and got to spend a few hours with my girl and her two sons! \o/
The trip is 90 minutes from our house, and though I initially planned to take some stitching to do in the car, at the last minute I decided to take along some crochet instead.
I started a face washer over three years ago, but only ever did six rows. I had major issues with multiple trigger fingers and tendonitis, so packed it away and forgot about it.
Until today.
I couldn't believe how fast crochet grows, but after only an hour in the car I had a face washer all finished (simple treble stitch rows), and even crocheted a pretty edge all round! (alternating single and treble)...
I loved crocheting with cotton!
These girls are auditioning for my next face washer...
The two variegated balls were gifts from Stephanie, and the hot pink is a ball I bought in 2009 when I first began the green one. I think I'll make all three. ;-)
Of course, I should be stitching this...
Decisions, decisions....

What would you choose?
Hugs
Jenny

Lovely crochet. It is so long since I have done any I fear I have forgotten how.

I love crochet but my tennis elbow doesn't so I leave that to my older sister and I do a little knitting and a whole lot of quilting. :)

That shade of green is delicious!!! I limit myself, when I do crochet, to only an hour at a time. Otherwise I'll give myself tendonitis. You have some very pretty decisions to make. :o)

I'd go for crochet in the car and stitching any other time. Lovely colours you have there - and good luck for the wedding.

It's so nice to give the stitching a rest sometimes and do something different. Gives me time to dream up new ideas and get excited all over again :*)

I have the same dilemma. Do I stitch, do I crochet, do I quilt, do I read.

Oh dear! I think you have crochet addiction. I discovered the same thing earlier this year. I have since made a knee rug for my hubby, and 2 knee rugs for charity. I usually knit but find crocheting so much faster! Have fun Jenny.

how I agree, crochet grows so quickly.I used to use wool but now prefer crochet cotton, not very good, but practise leads to improvement improvement. I tend to do it in bed, live on my own and when very cold find it the warmest place to be!
Do not feel guilty about your other stitching they say variety is the spice of life so enjoy

Love stitching. Love crocheting as well, my Grandma taught me to crochet when I was 11, I much prefer it to knitting as you can see progress quickly and there's no possibility to drop stitches :-)

That is just the yarn I use for my dish cloths and it whips up so fast...I can make three in an evening.
I like the thread you used for the face cloths. Looks so soft.
