Patchwork and Stitching Magazine have asked me to design a project using Helen Stubbing's pretty new fabric line...
...and what could I say, but YES!
This is what I'll be doing most of next week, so I thought it might be nice to share some progress pics each day from Monday to Friday. If you're interested, drop by next week and have a peek or two!
There are 19 fat quarters in the bundle...
...and one is a vignette of little designs that could be used on their own in projects.
The fabrics are distributed by Red Rooster Fabrics, and you'll find them in quilt shops and online here in Australia very soon (Helen is an Australian designer)!
Overseas, I see that the Fat Quarter Shop HERE have them listed as available sometime in August.
Tomorrow's issue of Elefantz HOME magazine is all proofed, and sitting around impatiently waiting for me to email it to all subscribers...
There is still time to subscribe - about 15 hours if you'd like the free Shabby Roses Cushion pattern as your gift. Cut off is midnight August 1st.
Go HERE for the details.
Have a wonderful day!
hugs

Wow these are gorgeous fabrics Jenny, you will make something gorgeous with them I'm sure!
Love the new look blog too
Oh I know you'll make something drool-worthy - you need to be making your OWN fabric, girl!
Oh my gosh Jenny! That fabric line is over the top delightful. I'm particularly fond of it, because 4 years ago, I frantically tried to find a quilting stitchery project after being notified that I was going to have an urgent surgery in less than 48 hours and wouldn't be able to sit at my sewing machine for the next 3 months. When I searched for quilt stitcheries, only Australian designers came up and Helen's was one name that I was familiar with as a friend was doing the NPNT stitcheries. So I emailed Helen, explained the situation and asked if any of her patterns were available in the US and by wonderful coincidence, she directed me to a store just 60 miles from me who had one set of NPNT patterns left in stock. Needless to say, hubby drove down and picked them up for me and I spent the next day prepping as many blocks as I could, so I wouldn't go crazy waiting to get back to my machine! So I agree with you, what could you say, but YES??? I can't wait to see what wonderful project/projects you design with this collection. (though I suppose we'll have to wait won't we, LOL. By the way, that is how I discovered all the wonderful and talented Australian designers. I'm so glad I did! Big Hugs and have a great time with all those ideas rolling around in your head, *wink*.
Those fabrics are pretty colours - love the circles and the vignette - makes me think they should be hidden behind something and then the circles of goodness revealed - like peek a boo. Ha!
a love;y range of fabrics here Jenny. You must let us know when it is published and which month magazine it is in, do not have a regular order for them but occasionally treat myself. I really like the Country threads one best and think I will take a subscription out for the when I am at the quilt show on 10 august, getting so excited!
Lovely fabric and I have asked the FQS to send me an e-mail when it arrives. Look forward to the e-mag tomorrow. hugs......
What a lovely stack and off course you said YES!! I would too! Even in my head ideas are tumbling around! From lovely girly clothes and sweet purses to quilts and cushions, it all seems so sweet! Enjoy! Hugs
