Absent to breathe...

Princess Sophie kept me company during my quiet time this morning...

I am hanging on with all my heart to these dawn quiet times with the Lord. As we enter this Advent season, my life is pushing and pulling me from all sides and I am weary of body, mind and soul. I see so many changes around me, so many deadlines - and it takes all I have within me to lift my eyes up to Him and His strength, and not down to my lack of it.
And He is faithful.

I've decided to be absent from the blog for a week whilst I ponder what's important and nourish my soul.
I have the new e-zine still to write, but with a clear mind and rest I can do it by Friday, 'God willing', as Nana used to say. If not, it may be a couple of days late, but I think you will forgive me...

If you need a breather this week too, find a way to take it.
Say 'no' to external things that really are not necessary, and say yes to time out for a re-gathering of your thoughts; time to set life aside and remember what is truly good and nourishing to your soul.
Fill your empty spaces with the peace that surpasses all understanding, and don't feel guilty. I'm praying for you...

till next week
Jenny

You take that time, and more if you need it. He does fill in all my empty places, and makes up for my shortcomings. He is my strength, and I know he is yours. I'm following the months before Christ's birth in my advent posts this month, to help me learn more of the meaning of his birth and life for me, and more of what I can do to give to others the gifts Christ has given me.

Quiet time, time to breathe, time to step back and re-assess everything around you. Yes, we all need that time. It's really hard to make decisions if we don't seek HIS counsel and we can't follow through on it if we can't hear HIM. I agree, take as much time to rest, recharge and find peace. You are no good to anyone else if you are no good to yourself. You are in my prayers. Sending you hugs of comfort in your time of restlessness. Love'n'hugs.

You write with such wisdom Jenny. It's fine with me if we receive the e-zine later on, I'd much rather you take time to find some peace and respite from the hustle, bustle and responsibilities of life. You are often in my thoughts, dear friend. Take care.

This speaks to my heart, as I am feeling those same tugs and stresses. Oh, how glad I am that I can turn to my Friend, and He understands. Take time for yourself, and to re-connect with Him. He will be there for you, and we'll be here when you return.

Hi Jenny, past few days has been busy, so I just read all your previous 5 blog posts today. All the projects in the dec issue are lovely. I am really awed by your fabric selection. Thanks for the bow tie tutorial, I am surely going to try that out.
I am sure this one week break will bring you back with more zest, energy , and full of positiveness and creativity for your new projects and your new home.

Psalm 121
A song of ascents.

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

Sweet Jenny...You seem to go 100 miles and hour every day. I am so joyful that you are going to take some time to "Breath" and commune with our blessed Lord.. Right now the e-zine and other deadlines should just fall away from your mind. Take all the time you need dear friend. Keeping you in constant prayer and sending big hugs from across the pond...

How is it that our first word is usually "NO" and it is so hard for some of us to say when we get "of age"??
Take care of yourself, sounds like you have a plan to do so, and know you can give a shout to any of us for some reinforcement. Just call in the troops.
Peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. t

What an exciting time for you! God is asking you "to be still and know that I am God"!! He is always faithful and all things will work for good for those who serve the Lord, so good will come to you...not always the good we think we need, but the good God knows we need!! Bless you and your family during this time that there is only one set of footprints in the sand...your loyal readers/friends will lift you up in their prayers. Be surrounded with His love and grace, immerse yourself in Him and feel the love.
