...the three mini projects I've made for February's Stitchery Club.
This year with skyrocketing postage costs I made the decision to only post gifts to friends if I could fit them in a card and post as a letter.
In the past I never thought about the size or weight of my gifts sent to far away friends but with most of my children and grandchildren living in other states our pennies need to be saved for them, for their special occasion presents delightedly posted throughout the year.
But having said that, I still want to make and send lovely card size gifts to those women-folk who make my life so very special by being a sister of my heart. After all, it's not the size of the gift, but the size of the heart who makes and sends it.
I've used small 'motifs' from larger and more detailed designs inside the February issue for embellishments on a bookmark, a hanging lavender sachet, and a gift card which could have a small pair of earrings attached or a length of vintage lace or ribbon wound around it....
There's the addition of small scraps of 100 year old lace, pearl beads and a Swarovski crystal from my supplies for that extra touch of loveliness.
I'd forgotten about all the little bits and pieces hidden away in my sewing room drawers, so as I went searching for pretties and bling I thought I must put all of them in one spot and spend time each month making a few gifts in advance.
Even the fabrics were scrap pieces stored in a small tub of tiny cuts I'd hoped to find a use for one day, and here it was, come to pass.
The patterns for these small projects are HERE inside the Club issue for February.
Membership is still open, but will close on midnight of the 16th.
Now all I need to do is learn to make my own cards...mmm...maybe another year.
Bless you!

So much sweetness here. I agree with your my dear. It is the gift from the heart that counts and makes it extra special.
Hope you have a wonderful day.

Jenny-girl they're brilliant - so very sweet! I agree postage is just awful, it makes me sad. I'd love to send things to my friends.
Such pretty little gifts. Funny you have a Little Women book open in one of your pictures. I am reading that very book for the first time ever and really enjoying it.
Came here from the other blog and was charmed with your stitching! Follow not to miss anything :)

Lovely finishes from scraps and heartfelt love....so pretty!
Pretty!
Good Morning Jenny! I think that your idea for small little treasured gift ideas are precious and important. Plus, they are adorable and important for exactly all the reasons you mentioned. Making smaller gifts is actually a fun and relaxing activity to do for whatever reason and I find myself doing them more often. Thank you for sharing and have a fantastic creative day!
I think this is a precious gift. Very special. The only cannot be buyed with money: the friend's love.
Aww so lovely x
Oh Jenny,
everything is so very pretty. Love every single piece.
Many hugs,

It's so nice when something saved forever with the thought that someday it will be needed for a project, and then that perfect project arises. :)
What a beautiful thought. As you say Jenny size doesn't matter its the thought that comes from the heart which we hold dear. Postage has become such a big consideration, its has seemed to have sky rocketed.
What wonderful gifts! I also love the stitchery on your padded clothes hanger.
Such cute things! I love these ideas, and I agree with you entirely about postage and where the best place is to spend it. Thanks for the preview of what we can do. I think some of those are going on my CQJP for the year. =)
Such sweet gifts to make. I just received a letter from the gas company today stating that posted bills will add another $1.75 to the bill! If letter postage has gone up 30cents why this much? I think some are taking advantage, especially of those who do not have the internet or choose not to use it for bills. Small light weight gifts are quite beautiful and appreciated by fellow stitchers. I get a lot of joy posting things and receiving things in the mail.
Your Finishes are so very cute and adorable and so delicate looking...I love them. Yes Postage can get pretty expensive if you send bigger gifts to your friends. I won't send out anything bigger than a Thinking of You card.
You are so very talented.....I wish I was just as talented as you are. I do Quilting, Crocheting, Counted Cross Stitch, and I love to Read. I am making a Spider Web Quilt and I got half of my Spider Web Quilt Blocks done.
I am a new follower of your Blog and I would love for you to become a Follower of mine. Here is the link:

Such a lovely idea Jenny. For relatives who live further away we just give double at Christmas for the adults and I get the children's ready at Christmas and then the parents keep them unto their birthdays. It does make Christmas expensive though! I can think of several people I would love to give little gifts to :-) Thanks for sharing once again. Hoping you have a lovely weekend X

Love these little projects, Jenny. I agree the cost of postage is getting prohibitive
So pretty, love them all !
These HeArtfelt Hand Crafted mailable gifts are just perfect. With the high cost of mailing this is also my quest for affordable mailings that also contain precious gifts made with my hands and heart. Lovely Dear...
These are beautiful, Jenny. And you're so right, it's the heart not the size that's important and I think all will agree that your heart is ginormous :) Hope you're having a lovely valentines Sunday with Mr E xx
Very cute little projects, Jenny! I like them.
