So easy to forget.

Emotions cloud common sense, busyness carries us along a roller coaster ride of highs and lows and we're left struggling to catch our breath, situations we weren't prepared for confront us head on - and all we want to do is climb under the covers and wait for the storm to pass.

God is my shelter, my breath, my safe harbour, my refuge. Never has He forsaken me or left me without hope.

If you're under the covers right now because life is asking too much of you, call out to your Father in heaven. Run to Him.
He'll scoop you in to His arms and calm your storm, abate your fears, and give you refuge until you're strong enough to face the day. He'll speak perfect love into your heart and bind your wounds.

He is your strong tower, an ever present Help in time of trouble.

He is your refuge and your strength,

And why?

Because He loves you.

  1. Jenny, This is always a message that needs to be said out loud because no matter how much we love the Lord; it is easy for us to get lost in the situation and not call on the Lord for his strength and love. Why....when we know that he gives this to us openly will be for each of us to learn from. But once we do call out to him....your post tells it perfectly! Thank you for sharing this message. God Bless You!

  2. Thank you, Jenny. In the midst of trials, it is easy to forget who will give us strength and refuge ... and that we are loved. Thank you for this reminder, and know that you are loved, too, by hundreds of friends around the world. We all pray that you are getting better and better and will be feeling great when Baby Blossom comes!

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
