More of "My Simple Sampler 2017"...

Since Christmas afternoon it's been our routine to settle down each day to watch a few episodes of 'All 4 Adventure' from the DVD set I gave Mr E on the big day.
Those few hours of relaxation, feet up, air conditioner cooling the house, and some leftover Christmas nibbles to keep the taste-buds happy, have allowed me to complete more of the "My Simple Sampler 2017" project which my Stitchery Club members will receive in their January issue.

Everything is embroidered now, except the running stitch borders and my name at the very bottom of the Sampler.
Another day and I'll have it ready to frame or border as a mini-quilt. I'm still considering my options, but am hedging towards the mini-quilt finish.
What do you think?

Memberships close on January 5th for the next issue of The Stitchery Club.
Join today or find out more here on the Club page.

Oh and there's a free gift pattern for new members, "Made with Heartstrings".

"Made with Heartstrings" is also available as a single purchase PDF pattern here in my shop.

25 years...
Dear Mr E took me to our favourite Indian restaurant last night to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with a very quiet, very us, dinner.
I'm giving thanks today for a quarter century beside this man, and for all the blessings yet to come.
Thank you, Lord.

More stitching...
Have you settled back into some stitching time now that Christmas has passed?
I'm about to trace off one of the six "My Simple Sampler 2017" designs and stitch it as the cover of a small project which I'll show you after New Year.

Have a wonderful day!

hugs

Congratulations on 25 years of Marriage! What an accomplishment these days. We will celebrate 37 years in March. I can't believe it. And on top of that, we dated for 6 years before we married so we have been together for almost 43 years! We started dating two weeks before my 18th birthday. Looking back it seems such a short time ago. Sorry, got a little side tracked there. It sounds like you had a wonderful celebration and are still enjoying just being together. It's a blessing to have someone with whom to share your life. I wish you many more happy years together and may The Powers That Be grant you those years!

Your membership won't be affected Steffanie. I'm just closing the joining date earlier than usual this month for NEW members so I can take a short holiday break with my hubby.

Congratulations on 25 years - the time just seems to fly doesn't it? I've been married to my man for 36 years (40 if you count the 4 we courted) I love reading your blog and have re registered for the embroidery club - 2017 is going to be a slowing down year for me, following your wonderful example dear Jenny 😍

Congratulations on your 25 Anniversary Jenny and Mr E, we have one coming up on 17 Jan, will be 47 years for us and we will probably celebrate similarly to yourselves. it is a blessing isn't it. Sometimes hard to believe the period of time has passed, similar to birthdays, mine being 2 days ago and my dear late Mum's was on 12 Jan. Your stitcheries are beautiful and I can't think past a mini quilt for this one. I am almost certain I have some of the same gingham, have had for years and most likely a remnant I was lucky to come across, I still have over half meter and now see a special project for it, I have just been using small pieces in gift projects over the years. Seeing your project evolving inspired me to use small pieces of it to top and back a few lavender bags for Christmas presents using pieces of a much loved floral cross stitched linen doiley that was gifted to me found in an Opportunity shop, for the fronts and tied with lace trims and ribbon, very pretty result. Enjoy your relaxing down time with Mr E. Judithann:-)

I think a lot of things! 1. You two are so lucky to have found each other and still be together - happiness and many more to come! 2. I think those are the CUTEST stork scissors I ever saw. 3. I think you make the tiniest stitches in the world and I will never make them that tiny. LOL 4. I think this is a fabulous design and I'm going to look for some blue gingham, or maybe green for stitching it. 5. I think whatever you do with it will be lovely, but a little mini-quilt would be perfect! Okay, I used up all my thinking for the day. =)

The sampler looks so nice. I am looking forward to the pattern. About what to do with it...I have always liked samplers that were framed. We have one our wall that an ancestor of Jim's stitched on the boat coming to America in the 1800's. Sadly it is not dated but her name is on it and I am sure her mother set her to the task to pass the days coming here.
Jim and I have often splurged on our anniversary to eat a favorite Indian restaurant also. We celebrated 36 years this year. Isn't it wonderful to be with someone so long? You get so you say the same things at the same time, and can fill in the other's thoughts for them. I wouldn't trade my years with him for anything as I am sure you feel about Mr. E. Congratulations on 25 years!
