The final postcard...

It's December 1st, and the very last month of our "Postcards From Heaven" BOM.
What a beautiful journey Allie and I have shared this year, taking turns each month to share a Scripture based stitchery with you, one that meant something personal to us and hopefully one that spoke into your heart as well.

This final free postcard pattern is from Allie and you can head over HERE to her blog to download it. She has embroidered all our Postcard blocks in redwork and will be piecing them into a quilt which I can't wait to see...

As I was stitching Allie's design I reflected on just how precious a gift it was when Jesus knocked on the door of my heart and asked to enter. It was just over 25 years ago and my life has never been the same.
I have climbed mountain tops and trekked valleys...I have rejoiced and I have wept...I have seen prayers answered miraculously, and others answered in ways that broke my heart. Yet, I trust my Lord and all HIS WAYS, that they are the BEST ways for His purposes to be fulfilled.
Never has He left me, nor forsaken me. Never have I doubted His love nor His perfect plan for my life.

Stitching this verse carried me back in time to a night that changed my life...

...a night when a life altering choice was mine alone to make...

...a night when I stood before the door and made a decision to answer that knock, to let the King of Glory come in and rule over my heart, mind and life forever.

Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of Glory shall come in.
(Psalm 24:7)

My last postcard has been finished as a cushion...

...with an envelope back and fabric ties.

Last month's postcard was finished as pincushion and another month I made a wall hanging. Our postcards can become lovely gifts, and Christmas is the perfect time of the year for sharing God's word and promises in such a special hand-made display.
Have you considered making them for friends and family, or for neighbours and shut-ins??

All twelve of our Postcard patterns will remain free.
You will find the links for each of Allie and my blog posts here, as well as the links for downloading the patterns.

Be blessed always, and if you hear Jesus knocking but haven't yet opened the door, maybe it's time dear friend...maybe it's time.

hugs

That has always been one of my favorite pictures - of Jesus standing at the door and knocking. We have it hanging on the wall in our home. Thank you Jenny and Allie for making these beautiful post cards and having them available free for the taking. They are all special!!

And the two versions are the same wording this final month! Perfect for December. Thank you, both of you. Thank you for your words about your personal conversion to Christ. It's a decision no one can make for us. I'm so glad you did, and so glad we met and share those special values and love of our Savior.

Hi Jenny - maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I can't seem to find your latest block in the Craftsy shop. Maybe I need to wait a little longer?

Kathy, the block this month is Allie's. That's why the link is to her blog.

Love how this portrays your testimony! So thankful that Jesus is by our side through thick and thin. Love the idea of making it into a pillow. Nancy

Just trying to catch up after being away for 5 weeks. Enjoyed Australia although Darwin, Airline Beach & Brisbane nearly killed us with the humidity. New Zealand weather was perfect for us & Sydney was just like our summer weather at home. We are now recovering from the lengthy flight home.

I love your Postcards they are absolutely gorgeous & so thought provoking. Thank you both so much for sharing them with us.

Hope you are feeling better now, it may be slow progress but it's good. Take care. x

I have your piece breathe deep and let go on my screensaver for this month. Your last two postings have moved my heart and stirred my soul. As the sole income source for my husband and I this month marks the end of my employment and the search for work - for the first time in 26 Years. For me as a long time Christian, I find my faith being drugs fen to deeper levels of trust in our Lord for provision and guidance. I am staying away from the stress and chaos I also see daily. Our holidays have always been low key when it came to presents and the secular part of the holiday. We are blessed to have great Christian children both of whom married solid Christian mates. The small things in life mean even more to me this year.

Dear Jenny, I just read about the cushion you crafted and lovingly sent to Mr HM. Glad he was so touched by your lovely gesture.

I pray that in 2017 you will be Blessed in all you do. You are God's instrument, and we never know just what impact or influence we have on those around us.

Bless you mightily, regards Robyne (no blog site) but a fellow Christian.
