Shabby Roses "mother"

Australia celebrates Mother's Day on May 10th this year.
I know some countries have already had Mother's Day this year, but I think there are still a few of us waiting for next month.
In honour of all mothers everywhere, I thought I'd offer you my pretty "Shabby Roses Mother" embroidery.
This is not part of the quilt I'm designing (yes, I've decided I *will* do a quilt of Shabby Rose designs!), just a pretty stand-alone gift you may like to use in a gift for your mother, or perhaps a special mother you know.

I'm making mine into a mini cushion filled with rose pot pourri. When it's finished I'll share a photo.

You can download the design HERE.

What do you think this design could be used in?

What a pretty desing!!! I'm going to use on my mother day, of course. Here in Spain, normally the first Sunday of May we celebrate the Mother's day... Maybe on a little pretty bag!!
Hugs.

Thank you for sharing this very pretty, shame my daughters dont sew. So I will have to make it for myself. My little granddaughters want to learn, so maybe I could simplify it a bit and help them with it. xxx

Hello there! I have just come over to your blog from Handmade by Mai, and discovered your beautiful stitcheries/appliques!!! You are so VERY talented - I think you should get published!!! :-) THank you SO much for sharing your beautiful designs! I particularly love the fabrics and colours you choose, so romantic.

In answer to your question, I think the stitchery would look lovely in a cushion or even as the pocket of a pretty, frilly apron.

Warm wishes! Vikki :-)

Thank you for a beautiful tribute to Mother! Mine is 88...I think I may enlarge it a bit and make a small wallhanging for her door. Thank you again for sharing your talent!!!

My Moggie is somewhat famous for her Mother's Day presents.
She usually responds to those in a CAT a log.
I am not sure how she will respond to a stitchery but in faith...maybe the blind type,
I have downloaded it.
It is sweet.
Maybe I can find a baby who is not yet able to embroider it for its Mother. Thank you.

Oh Jenny, Thank you ever so much for this lovely pattern for Mother's day.
Also, I am so glad we convinced you to do the shabby rose quilt. It is going to be awesome. We knew you just needed a little encouragement.
Just have to thank you again for all your lovely ideas and embroidery.
Have a wonderful day.

Good grief girl! You are so good at this! You really should look into making/selling patterns! Seriously!

I know ladies... that would take her lovely freebies away from us, but seriously, don't you think Jenny has the talent for it!?!

Thanks for another lovely... 8-)

Happy stitchings!

Oh Jen, I am so in awe of your creativity and the beautiful things you make. And now you're sharing gorgeous patterns including making a quilt. I will download the patterns and I so wish that I had time to actually do the stitching, but I know this is not my season. However, I will look forward to the day when I can sit down with a needle and make your beautiful patterns and think of you all the while.
You are a very talented and generous lady!
Bless you,
Fee xx
