SHABBY ROSES BOM - Blocks 7 and 8, plus the yardage!

Good morning ladies!!
It is a lovely morning here in Charters Towers, made even lovelier because today I share with you Blocks 7 and 8 of Shabby Roses!!

~~~ PEACE ~~~
~~~ SMILE ~~~

I hope you enjoy stitching them...I have loved this process of sketching an idea and bringing it to life with thread, and now the bigger picture of seeing each block find a home in the quilt design as well.

I had a mini meltdown yesterday because I discovered I did not have enough of the backing fabric after all so could not yet post the quilt top off to Cheryl. :-(
As we do not have a quilting store in our little town I made the choice to use pink cotton gingham for the back as they had just enough of that at the dress fabric shop. I'm actually happy with this as I adore gingham and it really will add to the homeliness of the quilt. So, once I wash it I'll send it by priority post to Cheryl.

NOTE: Blocks 7 & 8 are now available to purchase as part of the block 7,8 & 9 set in my ETSY store.

I have also made up a yardage chart for you so that you can finally purchase the correct amounts of fabric for the quilt top. You will find it HERE.

Blocks 1,2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 are now available to purchase in sets of 3 from my Etsy store.

~~~~~
Thank you for your care and concern about my migraine. I have been a chronic migraine sufferer for the last 38 years and have tried every remedy going, all to no avail. Today I feel much better as my head found it's way back to normality during the night. I appreciate all the tips you have shared for dealing with migraine and I will skim through them again for any new ideas now that I can read properly once again - my eyes go quite strange when I am in the throws of migraine. For those fellow sufferers out there - {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}.
Must go...the boys are waiting to go check out the morning's garage sales, then Slicer starts his new job at 8.30 - it's part of his traineeship, he works 3 days and studies 3 days. Thank goodness he gets Sundays off!
Have a wonderful day!!
Hugs
Jenny
Love, love, love them, as always! Aften and I can't wait to get started on the latest blocks. I also missed the bookmark so I printed that off and hope to work on that for her, too. Such a spoiled little girl! LOL
Lovely as usual - can't wait to get started on the new ones! Thank you Jenny! I'm glad you found some backing fabric to use - pink gingham sounds lovely to me.
I saw a blurb on the local news tonight = they're finding that people who go in for a face lift get relief from migraines - the nerves in the forehead get paralyzed during the procedure. So, find a plastic surgeon, lol!
Jenny,
These blocks are stunning! I am happy to hear that the migraine is better and the pink gingham will give this quilt a really nice finishing touch....very sweet....what was the background fabric going to be? Maybe that is enough for the binding?
Jenny...I too saw the show that said when people got a forehead lift it solved their migraine problems. Tempting isn't it?
Jenny, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful designs!I love them all!
One quick comment about your migrains....do you by any chance take Premarin ERT? After taking it for about 25 years, the controversy convinced me to stop taking it. My migrains stopped!I thought it was worth mentioning because I feel your pain!
Jenny,
I love your blocks, your stories, your quilts. It's a pleasure coming to you site often.
I just downloaded block 7, 8 and yardage. The yardage downloaded just fine, however 7 & 8 do not download as pdf files and I cannot open them on my computer. Any advice on how I can get them? Thank you again for all your lovelies.
Jenny,
These blocks are beautiful. I am so excited to be doing this. I haven't made a quilt in 10 years! You are so talented and sweet to share with us.
Glad to read your migrane is gone.
Luverlie, I'm not sure why they won't open as PDF's on your computer, so I've added the patterns in Word.doc for you - click on the same link and you'll be able to download them.
Hello from a fellow migraine sufferer of 33 years, and NO, there really isn't much we can do about them, is there. I, too, have tried everything. Mine are hormonal, the most difficult to treat. The only relief I find is from imitrex, and not all the time. I love the new blocks and can't wait to go home and start them! Beautiful job. I am having so much fun. THanks again for sharing your amazing talents with us all! -kaholly
Sorry to hear about your migraines.
One of my daughters has had them so bad she even had visits to the ER. Her doctor has since put her on a high blood pressure medicine called propanalol (? on that spelling) and now it is rare for her to have any migraines at all.
You might look into this and good luck and God Bless.
