Wow! The photos I shared of my Blackberry Swirls certainly made a lot of mouths water! I had comments and emails filling my inbox asking me to share this scrummy dessert recipe, so how can I refuse?
You can download the PDF recipe HERE. Be sure to let me know how yours tasted, ok?
It's raining here today and I am happy, happy, happy! The rain during our tropical wet season brings sticky humid weather, but this winter rain is cool and comforting.
Waking to the soft pitter patter of raindrops on the banana leaves this morning was a true delight on my day off from school ...
...as this is the perfect weather for snuggling down on the couch with my laptop, and typing my new patterns (a huge mug of Caramel Latte close by!).
Princess Sophie is inside, cosy asleep...
...but Bob-the-dog wistfully waits at the front door for the sun to return.
Blossom is home today and still fast asleep. Rain has that effect. :-)
Last night I decided to use up more of the leftover fabrics from previous projects, and top of my list of quick thing to make was a new version of the 'Rural Jardin' British Flag cushion I made HERE.
This time I stitched a Shabby Chic version with Robyn Pandolph's 'Rue Saint Germain' fabrics and instead of the raw edge strips I made lovely turned edges...
Isn't it pretty!?
I'm going to let you in on a couple of secrets.
In July I am a guest designer in Helen's 'Bustle & Sew' magazine! I love Helen's designs, and though her style is different to mine, I get so excited to see what she has made for each new issue. Her gorgeous peg bucket is high on my list of to-make-very-soon projects!
This is a little sneak peek of my design to be featured in her next issue...
I am in love with reds at the moment, and of course what is red without some spots???? You can read all about Helen's magazine HERE.
Now, my 2nd secret?
July will also herald something new for me, and for you ~ I will be launching my own online magazine!
... Elefantz HOME ...
... Elefantz HOME ...
is a monthly magazine, featuring three designs in each issue.
Each monthly issue will be $4, and as my patterns normally sell for $4 each, you will receive $12 worth of new patterns every month for the price of just one. In an era of economic frugality I am hoping this will bless you and allow you an affordable way to purchase fresh new patterns regularly.
I will add a subscription button to my sidebar later this month, as well as a small sample download of what you can expect in the first issue.
I am so excited about this venture. Hope you are too! :-)
That's two lots of excitement for me to look forward to, Jenny. I love Helen's magazine, and am a happy subscriber, and I'm sure yours will be lovely too. It's raining here in Ballarat, too - a cold, dull, dreary day. I hope the sun shines for you today.
